This proposal is a plan to convert the median in the Park Ave to a new playscape. The median will represent the Manhattan Island in abstract way and each section of island will have stone, concrete, timber, and wire mesh blocks to represent skyscrapers. A long tube is connecting all the way through these blocks and children can play in many ways. With this proposal, we expect the entire midtown can be changed into a family oriented space.

맨하탄 미드타운의 파크 에비뉴에는 가운데에 넓은 중앙분리대가 있다. 주로 식재공간으로 쓰이는 이곳을 이용해서 새로운 놀이 풍경을 제안한다. 업무 지역이라 가족들의 접근이나 활동이 거의 없는 이곳에 어린이들을 위한 놀이 풍경을 설치하여 좀더 가족 친화적인 지역으로 거듭나게 될 것을 기대한다. 길다란 중앙분리대는 맨하탄 섬의 추상적인 상징으로 치환되고 맨하탄에 브로드웨이가 가로질러가는 것처럼 네트 튜브가 관통하며 지나간다. 각 지역별로 콘크리트, 석재, 목재, 철망의 블록들이 고층건물들을 추상화하여 상징적으로 배치되며 그 위를 아이들이 오르내릴 수 있다.
